NOLAND CLARKE
Growing up in Jane and Finch area I began studying martial arts at a young age. It taught me respect, discipline, and how to use and understand the dynamics of my inner strength. Being the little guy I always had to prove myself to compete with the big boys. In 1997 I was introduced to a Brazilian art form called Capoeira to further enhance my knowledge of self-determination that boosted my confidence. As I was more involved in Martial Arts I always craved to find out more, this is how I was introduced to Muay Thai (kickboxing), which I still continue learning.
I discovered the benefits of using the whole body for fitness and that the strength and discipline of martial arts provides excellent cross-training. Around this time, I also received basic fitness and group fitness theory certification and began teaching fitness classes.
This year I was also appointed as the Official Trainer of Miss World Canada 2008. My goal was to train, educate, and motivate pageants to set and reach their health and fitness goals to win the Contest.
My passion is sports and healthy nutrition. I bring a very unique approach to personal training. My philosophy is that is comes from the heart with passion. Motivation, support and encouragement are three key factors to maintaining a successful exercise program. This combination delivers results and helps you to achieve your goals. My mission is to help individuals achieve and accomplish their fitness goals combined with the formal training, passion, determination and motivational skills.
